One of my favorite Spring 2014 pieces are from the Versace show, which oozed on urban luxury. We saw flashy separates, skin grazing bra tops, tight trousers, alongside harness details, heavy hardware and loosely cut outerwear pieces. The Medusa Symbol was applied to almost every single piece. The collection had an overall Guns'n'Roses, Inner rock chick feeling, but with the classic Versace sex-appeal. There were a lots of black pieces, but the series of lilacs, baby blues and white mixed in, the pieces had a softer touch to it. The collection ended with a parade of evening gowns, with draped fabrics and deep slits, creating very feminine silhouettes.  Exquisite glamour is evident throughout, with exceptional tailoring, incredible detailing, and the richest textures, which makes the Versace pieces standout yet again.

With Fashion Week's Finale in Paris, we had the chance to take a look at the elegant women who have graced the streets with their impeccable winter looks. 

In the city renowned for its elegance and style, and at times, total sartorial madness, the street is the place to get inspired.

I saw a lot of statement coats, soaring heels and black&white passing the revue. Definitely a good sign for me, as black and whites are dominating my 'walk in closet' for this fall. 

Fashion Week is still a place with dominating overdressed peacocks, but I prefer the sophisticated looks with subtle creative details.  Like Ann Demeulemeester said after her show; “naturally eccentric, by which I mean a woman is eccentric by nature, from the inside; she doesn’t have to show it on the outside,” I couldn't agree more...
